Kansas City’s Seville Home Fine Furniture and Design Begins Next Chapter as Longtime, Local Family Ownership Passes to Phil and Chastin Reynolds

LEAWOOD, KS – Oct. 13, 2025 — Seville Home, Kansas City’s premier destination for luxury home furnishings and interior design, today announced a new chapter in its legacy as ownership transitions from founders Stuart and Sue Wilkins to Phil and Chastin Reynolds.

After more than 25 years of shaping the region’s design landscape, the Wilkins have entrusted the Reynolds to carry forward Seville Home's family-owned, designer-led tradition with passion, vision, and authenticity.

"When Sue and I envisioned Seville Home over 25 years ago, we wanted to create a designer-led, customer-first experience that could stand apart from traditional retailers," said Stuart Wilkins, Co-Founder of Seville Home. "Being local and family-owned gave us the flexibility to adapt as furniture and home fashion evolved, and our team built enduring relationships with customers. What began as a boutique vision grew into a destination for transforming everyday spaces into beautiful retreats."

The Wilkins -- a longtime, local family -- carefully considered how to gracefully and confidently transition Seville Home to new ownership.

"As Sue and I looked toward retirement, we wanted to find equally passionate, entrepreneurial new owners," Wilkins added. "Discovering a local husband-and-wife team who shared our values felt too good to be true. Our transition with Chastin and Phil has already confirmed our confidence that Seville Home is in excellent hands for the future."

Stepping back from a lifetime of passion and purpose brings mixed emotions, but also a sense of profound gratitude.

"Of course, it’s bittersweet," Wilkins said. "We’ve cherished the relationships we’ve built with our Seville Home family, vendor partners, and loyal customers. We owe them so much, and one way we can thank them is by ensuring a seamless transition. Seville Home has always been bigger than Sue and me, and in many ways, it’s just getting started. The embrace of a welcoming home has never mattered more, and Seville Home will remain a vital resource for Kansas City and beyond."

Seville Home's new, local owners know they are standing on big shoulders as they take the business reins.

"It’s a rare opportunity to step into a thriving, family-owned business and immediately feel the strength of what’s been built," said Phil Reynolds, new Co-Owner of Seville Home. "Chastin and I are standing on big shoulders, and we accept that reality with humility and excitement. Stuart and Sue have created not only a remarkable business but a stellar family of associates who deliver the Seville Home experience every day. While we’re new to the home furnishings industry, delivering excellence is in our DNA, and we’re honored to become the next local, family-owned stewards of this success story."

A deep understanding of total business value sets the Reynolds up for success.

"Family-owned business transitions succeed only when new owners understand what makes the business special," said Chastin Reynolds, new Co-Owner and President of Seville Home. "For us, it was clear immediately—it’s the people as well as the products. Seville Home has always been designer-led and service-driven, putting customers at the center of every decision. We’re grateful Stuart and Sue built the business on that model, and we’re excited to continue working alongside the talented design and service team our customers already know and trust."

Seville Home will continue to operate from its flagship showroom in Leawood, where the design team curates timeless, sophisticated interiors for thoughtful homeowners and partners with Kansas City's finest professional designers. With this transition, the Reynolds reaffirm Seville’s mission: to provide Kansas City with the personal service of a boutique paired with the breadth and resources of an expansive destination showroom.
